Dungeon Lootr Tier List — Best Classes in UPD 2.5

Our Dungeon Lootr tier list ranks every class in Update 2.5, from S-tier monsters like Cursed King to the C-tier kits you should skip.

Update 2.5 completely reshuffled the Dungeon Lootr meta, handing out 50–85% base damage buffs to classes that were already strong and pushing a few former favorites down the board. If you're deciding what to main, or you just want to know which classes are actually worth your time, this Dungeon Lootr tier list breaks down every notable class by rank. We've combined the official patch numbers with community reports and player testing from creators like Frost God and It's Myth to give you a ranking you can actually build around.

How We Ranked Every Class in Dungeon Lootr

Helpful resources: beginner guide, comprehensive guide, and complete codes list.

This tier list weighs four things: raw damage output, defensive coverage (Dodge, Parry, and iFrames), utility like grouping or cooldown resets, and how easy the class is to obtain. A class can hit like a truck and still land in A-tier if it has no way to survive a boss's second phase.

TierWhat It MeansExamples
SMeta-defining. Top damage plus safety or utilityCursed King, Spell Breaker, Honored One
AExcellent, but one clear drawback holds it backDark Professor, Demonbane, Cryomancer
BSolid with real compromises in harder contentAzure Devil, Vacio, Divergent
CPlayable, but you work harder for lessBoxer, Witch Gunner, Wanderer

One important note: Update 2.5 converted several former Celestial classes into Exotics, and some older tier lists never updated that. If you're comparing rankings from before the patch, check the rarity label first — it changes what aspects and materials you need.

Dungeon Lootr Tier List: S-Tier Classes

These are the classes that define the current meta. Every one of them can clear any content in the game, and most received significant buffs in Update 2.5.

Cursed King (Sukuna)

Cursed King got one of the most absurd damage passes in the patch. Skills 1 and 2 now sit at x14, Skill 3 hits x20, Skill 4 reaches x24, and the Ultimate lands at a staggering x85. Base damage rose 50%, and both Fuuga and the Ultimate received double-sized hitboxes.

The best part? Three core attacks still grant full invulnerability. The class only has 200 HP with zero VIT, but at this damage level, the real challenge is finding enemies that survive long enough to matter. Community consensus puts Cursed King at the very top of the physical DPS charts.

Spell Breaker

Spell Breaker is essentially the Strength version of Dark Professor — a 500 HP bruiser with +20 VIT, strong Parry and Dodge uptime, and a 15% damage-taken debuff on enemies. Update 2.5 gave it x8.5 on Skills 1 and 2, x12 on Skill 3, and x18 on Skill 4, plus a 50% base damage buff.

Sword Dominion also animates 1.3x faster now, which fixes the class's biggest practical problem: getting stuck in a long animation while a boss winds up a punish. If you want a melee class that forgives mistakes, this is it.

Honored One (Gojo)

Honored One jumped from A to S thanks to a massive damage pass. Blue now hits x10, Red hits x15, and Hollow Purple reaches x30, all backed by a 50% base damage increase. Infinity also buffs M1s by 1.2x and speeds up skill animations by 1.2x on top of its existing damage reduction, movement, attack speed, and healing.

Blue still gives full invulnerability while grouping enemies, which means the class pairs elite setup utility with genuinely scary burst. The 200 HP drawback matters far less when Infinity is active.

A-Tier Classes: Strong Picks With One Flaw

A-tier classes can absolutely carry you through most content, but each has a drawback that keeps it just below the monsters above.

Dark Professor

Dark Professor is interesting because rankings disagree on it. Some community sources call it the single best damage class in the game on a maxed INT build with Tempest and Umbral aspects, while the Update 2.5 patch notes rank it A-tier. The patch gave it 25% less startup and endlag on every skill, and Skill 1 no longer roots you while casting.

Its multipliers are now x6, x7.5, x12, and x24 with another 5% base damage. The reason it stays in A rather than S is simple: the heavier casts still lack real Dodge or Parry protection. If you have a tank or you're confident in your positioning, it's a monster.

Demonbane (Frieren)

Demonbane is now Exotic rather than Celestial, and the balance changes finally gave it damage numbers worthy of the rarity. Zoltraak is now x15, Vollzanbel hits x9 overall, and Catastravia reaches x20, with Skills 1 and 4 gaining 1.3x and 1.8x larger hitboxes.

The 65% base damage increase is enormous, especially combined with Gravity Well grouping enemies into those stronger AoEs. It still has only 215 HP, +1 VIT, and no meaningful defensive frames, so it's not S-tier — but the damage jump is more than enough to promote it from B to A.

Other Notable A-Tier Picks

ClassArchetypeWhy It's A-Tier
CryomancerMagicx15 and x13 skills, but no defensive frames
EmbertideMagic1.5x faster animations, +25 INT, but 200 HP
Hawk CommanderPhysicalGreat in packs, weaker against lone bosses
HellfiendRangedLifesteal sustain, but multi-hit decay taxes damage
ArcherRangedEvery attack has Dodge or Parry protection
ArtemisRangedPersistent AoE, but unprotected attack windows
AssassinPhysical2.5s invisibility window, but only 42 ATK
Kage / ShinobiPhysicalFull defensive coverage on a Legendary budget
StreamlinePhysicalSafe kit, but 45 ATK now sits below the new ceiling

B-Tier and C-Tier: What to Skip (and Why)

Not every class needs to be meta. B-tier classes are perfectly playable — you'll just feel the compromises once harder content starts asking questions.

B-Tier Highlights

Azure Devil is a good example of a class held back by protection issues. Spatial Cut's three charges and Cross Cut's invulnerable dash make it great at forcing contact, and Void Cleave is a wide twelve-hit blender. But outside Cross Cut, most of its best damage asks you to stand still and commit.

Vacio has an excellent opener in Flash Step — three charges, Parry plus iFrames, and up to three shadow clones that pile onto a single target. The problem is the other three moves lack protection, and Sonido Barrage roots you in place.

Other B-tier classes include Bowman, Cursed Child, Divergent, Flame Bastion, Greatsword, and Ronin. These are fine for early and mid-game progression, but they get outpaced once you're farming Exotic materials.

C-Tier: The Classes You Can Skip

ClassArchetypeMain Problem
BoxerPhysicalOnly one Dodge move, minimal AoE or utility
WandererMythic PhysicalThree of four attacks lack protection
Witch GunnerRangedOutclassed by Archer, Artemis, and Sinister Trigger

Boxer is a good cautionary tale. Mastery does help — +20% damage on every skill, +4 Strength, and -5% cooldowns — but it only makes a simple kit better at being simple. There's very little AoE, crowd control, or mobility tech to compensate for the risk of standing in an enemy's face.

Best Aspects and Titles for Your Class

Ranking classes is only half the battle. The right aspect and title can add serious damage on top of your base kit.

Aspect Recommendations by Archetype

ArchetypeBest AspectsNotes
PhysicalRuin, Alacrity, Umbral, Honored OneAwakened Devil EX benefits most
MagicTempest, Sanguine, Phantom, Sinister TriggerTempest is the clear winner
RangedRuin, Tempest, Umbral, AlacritySinister Trigger is the priority target

Community reports suggest you should save your Aspect Gems for three specific classes: Awakened Devil EX for physical, Honored One for magic, and Sinister Trigger for ranged. These three have great stats, powerful skills, decent luck, and genuinely overpowered abilities.

Avoid spending Aspect Gems on Demonbane, Forge Archon, Artemis, Azure Devil, Dreadlord, or Jetstream. Most of these have zero or low luck, and Azure Devil's aspect won't even convert when you evolve it into Awakened Devil EX.

Best Titles in Dungeon Lootr

  • Physical/Strength builds: Unchained for best DPS, or The Storm / S3.Paragon for the best overall bonuses
  • Ranged/Dexterity builds: Iron Sight for the best Dex bonus
  • Magic/Intelligence builds: S3.Paragon or The Storm for the best Int bonus

The Storm title comes from reaching Mastery 50 on Awakened Devil EX, so it's a long-term goal rather than a quick pickup.
