Dungeon Lootr Tier List Update 2: Best Classes Ranked

Our Dungeon Lootr tier list update 2 ranks every class from S to C tier, covering the new Moon Witch, Necromancer, Fae, and Crescent Blade.

Update 2 has completely reshuffled the Dungeon Lootr meta, dropping four brand-new classes into the mix while quietly buffing a few old favorites back into relevance. If you are grinding raids on Impossible difficulty or pushing Endless waves, picking the wrong class can cost you hours of wasted materials. This Dungeon Lootr tier list update 2 breaks down every major class so you know exactly what to build, what to skip, and where to spend your Exotic Ore.

The short version: Moon Witch, Necromancer, and Fae arrived strong, Dark Professor and Sinister Trigger remain top-tier DPS, and Twin Jackal got a shadow buff that community players are still testing. Let's get into the full rankings.

Dungeon Lootr Tier List Update 2 — Full Class Rankings

This ranking blends player experience from Update 2 testing, community reports from YouTube creators, and stat data from the Update 2.5 balance notes. Classes are judged on endgame DPS, survivability, utility, and how easy they are to gear.

TierClassesWhy They Belong Here
SMoon Witch, Necromancer, Dark Professor, Sinister Trigger, Spell Breaker, Coyote, Honored One, Twin JackalTop-end damage, strong defensive frames, or both
AFae, Crescent Blade, Cryomancer, Demonbane, Dreadlord, Archer, Artemis, EmbertideExcellent kits with one meaningful drawback
BCursed King, Anti Magic, Hawk Commander, Forge Archon, Kage, Shinobi, VioleSolid but outclassed at the highest difficulty
CBoxer, Wanderer, Witch Gunner, VacioPlayable, but you work harder for less payoff

One important note: Dark Professor and Spell Breaker were originally rated A-tier by early Update 2 testers, but the later balance patch pushed them into S-tier territory. If you built either one before the patch, you already own a meta class.

What Changed in Update 2

The headline addition is four new classes: Moon Witch, Necromancer, Fae, and Crescent Blade. Beyond that, the patch handed out massive base damage buffs to several older classes — Awakened Devil EX gained an 85% base damage increase, and Cursed King's Ultimate now hits for an x85 multiplier.

The new skill-based ring also matters. Community players report that every class in the game now wants a skill-based ring roll, which changes how you should prioritize your gear farming.

S-Tier Classes in Dungeon Lootr Update 2

These are the classes worth rushing. If you can get one of these online with decent gear, you can clear content that would fold a B-tier build in half.

Dark Professor — Best Pure DPS

Dark Professor is the highest-damage class in the game right now on a maxed INT setup. The Update 2.5 changes cut 25% of the startup and endlag from every skill, and Skill 1 no longer roots you in place while casting.

Build ElementRecommendation
Stats99 STR / 103–215 INT
AspectTempest (Umbral also works)
TitleUmbra Element (Coyote title if you have it)
Gear PriorityMagic damage + cooldown reduction on hat
Skill Rotation4 → 3 → 1 → 2

The catch: Dark Professor still lacks real Dodge or Parry frames on its heavier casts. You need to position well, or all that damage disappears the moment something closes the gap.

Moon Witch — Best All-Around Caster

Moon Witch is the standout of the four new classes. It brings 350 HP, +10 VIT, and +21 INT, which is unusually bulky for a Magic class. Moonfall pulls every enemy within 24 studs into an x12.0 hit — that is elite room control for a caster.

Its Level 50 passive, Full Moon, doubles Pale Cascade from three moons to six, which massively improves contact damage. Combine that with a shield, mobility on Lunar Rush, and full-skill Mastery scaling, and you have the most complete PvE package in Update 2.

Necromancer — Best Summoner

Necromancer got a serious glow-up. Skeletons now scale off 100% of your base HP, 55% of your base damage, 75% of your damage reduction, and your Skill Crit Rate. The skeleton count also jumped from 5 to 9.

The biggest quality-of-life fix: you can now move, dodge, parry, and chain skills while casting. That removes the single worst part of the summoner playstyle. Early Update 2 tier lists placed Necromancer in A-tier, but the later buffs push it firmly into S.

Sinister Trigger — Still the Best Ranged Class

Sinister Trigger survived Update 2 largely untouched, and the 2.5 patch actually walked back part of its earlier nerf. Base damage is up 20%, all skill multipliers got a 1.2x boost, and M1s now use a x1.55 multiplier with a 1.3x larger hitbox.

Build ElementRecommendation
Stats150 INT / 199 DEX
AspectTempest or Ruin
TitleIron Sight (best DEX bonus)
Gear PriorityRange damage on hat AND gear, cooldown reduction on hat
Skill Rotation4 → 1 → 3 → 2

One trick worth knowing from player testing: jumping before using Skill 1 deals more damage. Deadeye can also proc from M1s again, though at a slower 12.5% rate.

Twin Jackal — The Shadow Buff Nobody Expected

Community creators flagged a stealth buff to Twin Jackal that reportedly adds 20–25% more skill damage. Testers were pulling roughly 4 million damage on skills without range damage rolls on gear, which is absurd.

Twin Jackal uses the exact same stat spread and rotation as Sinister Trigger, so if you already have a ranged build, you can swap between them freely. Damage is crit-dependent, so expect variance on short fights.

A-Tier Classes Worth Building

A-tier classes can absolutely carry you through most content. Each one has a single meaningful drawback keeping it out of S.

Fae — Fast, Physical, and Fun

Fae gained 25% base damage and larger hitboxes on both Flit and Dagger Storm. The big win: Dagger Storm no longer roots you, so you can keep moving during the channel while Parry stays active.

The tradeoff is a 40% longer Dagger Storm cooldown and 20% lower multiplier, but the base damage buff cushions that hit. Kill-based cooldown reduction, dagger teleports, and a massive +22 STR profile keep Fae extremely strong.

Crescent Blade — High Potential, Still Being Tested

Crescent Blade is the wildcard of Update 2. Early testers placed it in high A-tier because it simply has not been tested enough yet. Reports suggest it could climb to S once the community figures out optimal rotations. If you pull it, it is worth building — just do not expect a finished guide yet.

Cryomancer and Demonbane

Cryomancer's multipliers now sit at x8.5, x9, x15, and x13, with larger hitboxes and faster animations. It stays in A because it still has no proper defensive frames.

Demonbane jumped from B to A after a 65% base damage increase. Zoltraak is now x15, Catastravia reaches x20, and Skills 1 and 4 gained bigger hitboxes. At only 215 HP with +1 VIT, though, it is glass.

Best Titles and Aspects for Every Class

Getting the right title matters as much as the class itself. Here is the breakdown by archetype.

ArchetypeBest TitleBest Aspect
Physical / StrengthUnchainedTempest or Umbral
Ranged / DexterityIron SightTempest or Ruin
Magic / IntelligenceS3.Paragon or The StormTempest or Umbral

How to get aspects: Farm the Gamepass Shop or hit the Challenge Dungeon Level 55+ milestone rewards, which typically drop above 100 completions. The Storm title comes from reaching Mastery 50 on Awakened Devil EX.

For rings, community consensus is clear: every class now wants a skill-based ring. Do not waste rerolls chasing anything else.

Classes to Avoid in Update 2

Not every class kept up. These kits still work, but the balance patch moved the ceiling around them.

  • Boxer — Gazelle Sweep is the only move with Dodge protection, and the kit forces you into melee range with almost no AoE or mobility tech.
  • Wanderer — Ink Mirage is a genuinely good defensive tool, but three of four attacks lack protection and there is no CC, reset, or burst gimmick.
  • Witch Gunner — Archer, Artemis, Forge Archon, and Sinister Trigger all deliver cleaner ranged damage with better safety.
  • Vacio — Flash Step is excellent with three charges and shadow clones, but the other three moves lack protection and Sonido Barrage roots you in place.
  • Streamline — Mechanically safe, but a 45 ATK baseline and mostly x5.0 skills cannot compete with classes getting 50–85% base damage buffs.

If you already invested in one of these, do not panic. They clear normal content fine. They just fall off hard in Impossible raids and high-wave Endless runs.

How to Farm Exotic Materials for Class Unlocks

Most top-tier classes need Exotic materials for their quests and crafting requirements. Here is where to farm them.

MaterialBest SourceDrop Rate
Exotic Shattered ArmorUnderworld Gate Nightmare / Endless (Igris Secret Boss)8%
Exotic EssenceUnderworld Gate Nightmare completion5%
Exotic EssenceChallenge Mode Bosses30%
Exotic OreChallenge Mode (Igris, wave 30+)35%
Exotic OreUnderworld Gate Nightmare drops15%

Challenge Mode is the more efficient farm for Essence and Ore if your build can handle it. Otherwise, Underworld Gate Nightmare is the safer grind.

Final Thoughts on the Update 2 Meta

The Dungeon Lootr tier list update 2 landscape is healthier than it has been in a while. Moon Witch and Necromancer give casters real endgame options, Fae rewards aggressive physical play, and Dark Professor finally has the quality-of-life fixes it needed to justify its damage.

If you are starting fresh, rush a ranged or INT build — Sinister Trigger, Twin Jackal, and Dark Professor all share enough gearing overlap that you can pivot between them without rebuilding from scratch. If you already own a B-tier class, the Exotic material farm above is your fastest path to an upgrade.
